Nemesis Behind the Scales
Join the Coven to keep this in your own Book of Shadows
An invocation of Nemesis, who measures what is owed, for a wrong you cannot put right yourself. You set the matter on the scales, you ask for proportion rather than revenge, and then you sit in the silence afterwards and write down what you noticed.
What You Will Need
An image or symbol of Nemesis
Scales, a pair of wings, a measuring rod, a sword, or an hourglass - any of her emblems. A drawing, a printed image, or an actual small set of kitchen scales if that is what you have. The object only needs to mean weighing.
Somewhere to put it at eye level
A shelf, a table you can sit upright at, a windowsill. You address her looking level rather than down.
A notebook and a pen
Set aside until after. The working does most of its work in the quarter hour after the words, and that hour is lost if there is nothing to write on.
Moon Phase & Timing
This rite has no required phase. If you want the moon to colour it, these are the obvious choices.
Full Moon: For a matter that is already in the open and being argued over. Full light for a public reckoning.
Waning Moon: For a matter you want closed - where what you actually want is to stop carrying it.
Any night at all: The common use. You do this one on the night you cannot stop thinking about it.
