The Buyer's Lure

For selling something: a house, a car, a business, a flat full of furniture. Half of it draws the buyer in and half of it loosens your own grip, because a thing nobody will buy is very often a thing somebody has not finished letting go of. Every other money working in the library draws money toward you in general. This one sells one specific object.
What You Will Need
A key, a photograph, or a small part of the thing being sold
The spare key to the house or car, a printed photograph of it, the listing printed out, a screw from the furniture. This stands for the thing itself and must be something you are willing to part with at the end.
A bright coin, cleaned
Scrubbed until it shines. Not a valuable coin - a shiny one. This is the sale, and it sits where it can be seen.
Dried orange peel and a cinnamon stick
Peel dried on a radiator or a windowsill for a day or two, nothing more involved than that. Orange for being wanted and cinnamon for speed - both go in the dish and neither goes anywhere near a mouth.
A shallow dish or saucer
Open, not a jar. The whole shape of this working is uncovered: a thing on display.
An orange or gold candle, and a black one
Two candles for the two halves. The bright one draws the buyer, the black one is lit afterwards for the letting go. Tea lights are fine.
A written price, and a written sentence of release
On two separate slips. The price is the number you will actually accept, not the number you have advertised. The sentence is one line in your own words about what you are done with - “I am finished with this house” or “this was my father's car and it is time”. The second slip is harder to write than the first, which is the point.
Moon Phase & Timing
This working runs in two halves across one lunar fortnight, because drawing and releasing are opposite motions and want opposite skies.
Full Moon: The drawing half. Maximum visibility: set the dish up on the night the thing is most able to be seen.
Waning Moon: The releasing half, any night after. This is the half people skip and the half that usually unsticks a stuck sale.
The morning of a viewing: Turn the coin over, say the price out loud once, and go. Thirty seconds. Do this on every day somebody is coming to look.
