The Crow's Omen

Join the Coven to keep this in your own Book of Shadows
A twilight appeal to the Morrigan, sovereign of battle and change, through the crow that is her emblem: that somebody who has done harm should feel the weight of it, and that every distant call overhead should stir the memory they have put away.
Level Advanced
Time 40 minutes, at twilight or in the deep hours
Moon Any. The hour is what this rite is fixed to
What You Will Need
A crow
A found feather, a small figure, a drawing, or an effigy of black cloth. A feather you picked up yourself is the strongest version and a biro sketch is an entirely acceptable one. Do not buy a bird.
One black candle
Set at the centre. Lit, watched, and snuffed at the close.
Something connected to the person
An object of theirs, or their name written on paper. It is laid beneath the crow and goes out of your house afterwards.
A clear surface at the centre of your space
The arrangement is simple and wants room around it: the candle at the centre, the crow before it, the name underneath.
Moon Phase & Timing
This rite names its hour rather than its phase.
Twilight: The named hour and the usual one. The Morrigan is a goddess of edges, and twilight is the day's edge.
The deep hours of night: The alternative, named in the rite. Choose it for a harm that has gone unspoken for a long time.
Waning Moon: Not required, and a good addition if you want the matter to be finished rather than only acknowledged.
