The Jar of Restless Echoes

Join the Coven to keep this in your own Book of Shadows
A name folded into a jar with a handful of nails, sealed, tied with ribbon and shaken once: a working that gives your anger somewhere to live and asks that the memory of what was done refuse to go quiet. Emptying the jar ends it.
Level Intermediate
Time 30 minutes
Moon Waning Moon preferred; any night will serve
What You Will Need
A jar with a lid
Small, and one you can close properly. It is going to be shaken, so the lid matters more than the look of it.
Small nails
A handful. Panel pins, tacks, old nails from a jar in a shed. They go in one at a time and they are the voice of the working - what makes a sealed jar something you can hear.
Paper and a pen
For the person's name. Written once, folded toward you.
Black or red ribbon
Tied round the neck of the jar once it is sealed. Black for the matter, red for the anger; either is correct and you should pick on purpose.
Moon Phase & Timing
A working of unquiet memory sits best as the light withdraws.
Waning Moon: The usual time. Comfort shrinking as the light does.
Dark of the Moon: For something that was buried rather than resolved, and buried a long time ago.
Any night: Common and acceptable. Prepare your space first - this working wants ten quiet minutes before it begins.
