The Paper of Falling Plans
Join the Coven to keep this in your own Book of Shadows
A fire working against plans already being laid against you. You write out the refusal, fold it three times, and burn it - and what you ask for is that the schemes lose their shape before they reach you, not that anybody be hurt in the making of them.
What You Will Need
A large sheet of paper
A full page at least. Writing the words out by hand in full size is part of the working, so do not use a scrap.
A fireproof pot or small cauldron
Deep enough to hold a folded page as it burns. Metal or stone, on ground or stone rather than on a table.
A red candle
Red for nerve rather than for anger. Lit first and snuffed last.
A little water, kept to one side
Not part of the rite. Part of being able to do the rite outdoors with a clear conscience.
Moon Phase & Timing
This one answers an emergency, so it is worked when it is needed. The phase is a courtesy.
Waning Moon: For a scheme that is already in motion and that you want to see lose momentum.
Tuesday: Mars's day, which rules defence as well as attack. A good day for a working of standing firm.
Tonight: If something is being arranged against you this week, this week is the right week. Do it again on the next waning moon if you want both.
