The Sickroom Airing

Join the Coven to keep this in your own Book of Shadows
For the room somebody has been ill in, once they are up again: windows wide, bedding stripped, every surface wiped with cold salt water, one piece of furniture moved, and a bowl of salt left standing overnight. No smoke at all, deliberately — a chest that has just been through something does not want it.

Moon Waning Moon, or the first clear morning after
What You Will Need
Cold water and coarse salt
A bowl of cold water with two generous handfuls of salt stirred in until it stops dissolving. Cold rather than hot: this is a clearing wash, not a cleaning one, and the cold is the point.
Two cloths
One for the wiping and one dry for behind it. Both go in the wash afterwards at the hottest the fabric will take.
A second bowl of plain salt
A cereal bowl, filled, left standing in the room overnight at the end. Salt left in a bowl in a closed room is one of the oldest clearings there is and needs no explanation to anybody.
Open windows, and an hour you can spare the heat
The windows are the main working. Everything else in this list is supporting them.
A white candle
Lit at the end, once the room is aired and remade. Not during - a sickroom working does not want a flame in it while the bedding is on the floor.
Fresh bedding, and somewhere for the old
Washed at the hottest temperature the fabric allows. Stripping and remaking the bed is a step of the ritual rather than a chore attached to it.
Moon Phase & Timing
This is a clearing and it belongs to the waning moon, but it belongs more to the morning after somebody has got up for the first time.
Waning Moon: The proper time. Something is going out of the room and the sky is emptying with it.
A bright morning: The real time. Daylight and moving air are doing most of the work, so a clear dry morning beats a correct lunar phase in a downpour.
Before they come back in: If you can do it while they are out of the house, do. Walking into a room that has been done is a large part of the effect, and watching it being done is not the same thing.
