The Sixth Pentacle of the Sun
It serveth excellently for the operation of invisibility, when correctly made.
The Key of Solomon is the best known of the Renaissance grimoires, surviving in dozens of manuscripts in Latin, French, Italian and Hebrew. Mathers made his 1889 edition from seven manuscripts in the British Museum, and it is his plates that every later reproduction of these pentacles descends from.

The pentacle is traced from the plate in the De Laurence edition of 1914 (Chicago: De Laurence, Scott & Co.), which reprints Mathers' plates at a larger size, and checked line for line against the 1889 printing.
Mathers' note: In the centre is the Mystical letter Yod, in the Celestial Alphabet. The three letters in the “Passing of the River” writing, in the Angles of the triangle, form the great Name Shaddai. The words in the same characters round its three sides are, in my opinion, from Genesis i, 1:— “In the beginning the Elohim created, &c.;?” but the characters are sadly mangled in the MSS, The versicle is from Psalms lxix, 23, and cxxxv. 16:—- “Let their eyes be darkened that they see not; and make their loins con- tinually to shake. They have eyes and see not.”
